Standup comedy maven, Judy Carter, shares insights on writing and performing standup comedy and the power of using humor to get through her own personal “breakups.”

Legendary standup comic, Rita Rudner, tosses out some classic one-liners while talking about breakups, love and her life’s philosophy full of some sage advice with Host David Glass.

In this Episode, Standup Comedian/Actor, Nick Thune, who has appeared on the “Tonight” show eight times; “Conan,” “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon,” and recently debuted on comic NatE Bargatze’s show, has many TV and film projects under his comedy belt. Chatting with David, Thune singles out one of his favorite projects, “Phone Tag”; how he migrated from Seattle to L.A., and explains the story behind one of his favorite standup bits: “Dear Daniel.” He opens up about his first love at 12-years-old; talks about the science of processing the process of a breakup; shares his checklists for good reasons to leave a relationship behind, and he also talks “Box-checking,” and his list for bailing out of a coupling. Thune also shares some jokes. He then shifts to a more somber tone, suggesting that a sad-sack breakup person should treat him or herself with the same empathy they would offer a friend when going through a breakup. “Don’t be hard on yourself,” is Thune’s mandate. The TikTok and Instagram star also declares, “The only way out of a bad breakup is through it.” Thune is funny, sympathetic, wise, and kind as he dolls out his remarkable advice to the lovelorn. After all, he confides to Host Glass: He’s been through it himself a number of times!

Comedic writer/director/producer, John Hamburg, shares some serious insights—the ones that drive his constant box-office hit, audience-pleasing comedies.
